This is a drawing, painting and creative writing course. It teaches students of all levels the skills to learn how to draw and paint cartoon characters, comic books, political cartoons and concept art. Students will learn to use a variety of media like graphite, pen and ink, markers and paint. Projects will involve creative writing to invent original stories and characters. Students will also read a variety of resource materials like comic strips, comic books, graphic novels and newspapers. You will learn the core concepts needed to analyze, interpret and discuss your own work, the work of classmates and famous artists.
